Aspiring comic book creators - at this year's DCC you'll have multiple opportunities to get your portfolio reviewed by industry studios.  We're pleased to have reps from APE Entertainment and Antarctic Press at the show, and they'll be happy to take a look at your work.  This is a great opportunity to get feedback from editorial minds, and in person no less.  Who knows, you may even get a job out of the deal.  Stop by the APE Entertainment room on the 3rd floor (see program guide) or the Antarctic Press tables in the 4th floor Artist Alley.  Representatives from APE include Weldon Adams, and Antarctic Press will have Ben Dunn and Brian Denham on hand - possibly more.  At big shows like San Diego Comic-Con, trying to get a professional portfolio review can be next to impossible.  We're giving you that opportunity, so don't miss out!
Update 5/3/12 Stan Lee has informed us today that due to a personal thing that just came up, he will only be able to attend Saturday May 19th. MORE ARTISTS &
SMALL PRESS GUESTS!

A sincere thank you to all that came out to the biggest Dallas Comic Con in history. The turnout was almost twice last year’s attendance, which filled the Irving Convention Center well beyond our hopeful goal of 15,000 attendees.

Our two special guests, Stan Lee and Patrick Stewart both had schedule changes which challenged our ability to satisfy the huge customer demand for their autographs, photo sessions and panels. Stan Lee was able to help significantly by appearing Friday afternoon for three hours, and has added our October show to his schedule so that he will have more time for his fans.

For many, attending a Comic Con was a new experience, and we understand it takes some help to understand how shows like this operate. Unfortunately standing in lines is often part of the experience, and with the compressed special guest time, this was more of a challenge than we and many guests were happy with.

As fans, we understand this frustration, as we have experienced it ourselves at San Diego Comic Con, so know we will be hard at work to make sure we improve the fan experience from ticket sales to the door closing.

As you might imagine, we will also be looking for alternative locations that can better handle larger gatherings, adding day(s), and other ways to help service more fans.  North Texas deserves its own Comic Con, we hope that if you left with less than a perfect experience, you realize we are aware of it and we will do everything possible to address these issues.
